When we were moving to the new office, we wanted to do something fun with our beloved old office. We asked ourselves, “What does one do with an empty storefront on a not-so-empty street?”

So we thought to host a series of pop-up shops showcasing brilliant products from our friends across the country.
Workstead, Gravel + Gold, O+A, Proud Mary and others occupied the space however they wanted—no rules!
As part of the experience, Fuzzco collaborated with each resident to create an item for sale. We created a portable lantern with Workstead, an embroidered Turkish-style towel with Proud Mary, and a set of modular cardboard blocks with O+A.
Items were offered for purchase at the physical location or through the online shop.
The New York Times wrote about The Pretend Store, which made us all happy.

Thanks to the voice from the alleyway and to all of our friends for a rad way to spend a few months.
