Bon Banh Mi came to Fuzzco to develop a simple, humble, happy brand for their sandwich bar. We named the restaurant, consulted on the interior design and built a flexible and comprehensive set of identity materials including a logo system, menu, exterior signage and website.
The identity has two very distinct parts. One is the rounded, heavy lettering and friendly illustrations that are welcoming and comforting while the other is the more edgy, exotic shingle that represents the unexpected flavors in the food. The color palette is warm and fresh.
The shop itself is tiny and fits a handful of people at a given time which had direct implications on the depth of the menu and the feel of the brand. We think restrictions like this can be positive if presented the right way. A small space can be intimate instead of cramped. The distinct experience of close quarters can be memorable and can bring people together by forcing them to interact.
We are excited to have these guys and their tasty sandwiches down the street.
