MailChimp gives a lot to its users, and we were asked to design and build a microsite to give away a new surprise. In the past the company’s giveaways were so anticipated that they often ended within seconds of launch, so we came up with a fun way to make the experience last a bit longer.

Visitors hit an enormous landing page that they had to move around to locate a hidden prize among more than a hundred other animated objects. Once the user found the tiny Freddie box and clicked it, a paper airplane flew out and the screen rained confetti, revealing the contest form. Winners received the brand new Freddie vinyl toy.
The giveaway was a raging success with all of the toys being claimed in under an hour and, in true MailChimp giveaway fashion, crippling their servers.
