Monday, November 4th
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Pretend Store, 85 1/2 Spring Street
Studio O+A from San Francisco meets Fuzzco from Charleston to kick off a month-long experiment in workplace design.
O+A is occupying Pretend Store for the month of November with pop-up workspaces from some of Charleston’s most creative organizations (plus one from Savannah)! Using recyclable cardboard building blocks designed by Studio O+A, each participant will assemble a work environment for a day, three days, a week—then quickly dismantle it to make way for the next user. We’re anticipating pop-up art galleries, design offices, toy factories… who knows what else?
Monday’s kick-off features Verda Alexander, Principal and Co-Founder of Studio O+A talking about the origins of the project. Helen Rice and Josh Nissenboim, Co-Founders of Fuzzco will be there, as will the workplace commandoes who have signed to produce a pop-up. (See the schedule below).
Beer and bites and a lot of lively talk about good design and the future of the workplace.
