We designed this poster for Nick Jenkins’ CD Release Show at Hope and Union in August.  We’ll be there, you should come too. Read more: Charleston City Paper.

Live from the Urban Jungle

I wanted to congratulate my friend and old bandmate Derek on playing his first solo show as Computerization – he released an album recently which is quite terrific. Don’t mind the blurriness of the photo, those are just mega-sound waves distorting the atmosphere.

CFW: Clewis Reid

Congratulations Clewis Reid on a beautiful show! Photo by Ellen McCall.

Josh is honest about his chess beginnings, Steven encourages habitual chess play and Charleston has a Snowstorm. ReadCharlie.com

Behind the scenes video by Helen. This happened to be the day that Helen and Josh dressed exactly alike.

The Treehugging Lumberjack

Michael James Moran (woodworker, furniture-maker, client, friend and actor) lives in a wood-filled world.

We concepted, videographized and composed audio for this splinter-free project.

Fuzzco travels to NYC to visit Stanley.

We just got back from a high energy trip to New York.  A quick rundown of the experience includes: double decker air mattress with headboard, old friends, new friends, new museum (hell yes!), national history museum, extreme mammals, spicy macaroni and cheese, super-sized squash, pho, china town massages & cupping, cupping hickeys, stanley the guinea pig, tater heaven, beautiful weather, catching up about old projects, catching up about new projects, high fives, the metro.

At Kelsey’s house for dinner Monday night. Note huge butternut squash on the mantle.

We stayed a couple nights with Josh’s brother Elan who has a great view of the city.  Elan officially has the coolest job of all, he’s a director at the Natural History Museum and gets to regularly interface with research scientists, and of course we had to drop in to visit him there.

It is 20 degrees cooler in antler shade.

We had a great time and we’re excited to be back with a slightly higher interest in breeding guinea pigs.

Happy Friday

Billy

We took a walk down Spring Street today with our buddy Billy. Josh pretended to wrestle Billy and ended up with a piggy back ride.  Just another sign that things are right and good in the world.

Michael Moran

Come out and see Michael’s show at the Rebekah Jacob Gallery Thursday, November 19th. We’ll be there.

Happy Birthday Dirk

We all went over to Dirk’s house last night to celebrate with Dirk, Neeva and Richard.  Neeva made a delicious casserole accompanied by the most patiently roasted turnips we’ve ever experienced by Richard.  We brought a cake from Sugar which to Dirk’s delight looked like a cake from one of Dirk’s favorite video games.  Here you will witness him carving out his first bite.

Welcome to your 17th year Dirky.

Hottest Heads of State

Really this is press-inspired press with lots of links!

hottest

One of my earliest friends and my bandmate from Box_, his brother and sister-in-law are behind the coup-inspiring website Hottest Heads of State. The premise is fair and simple; they rank the world leaders by their attractiveness. It has a Colbert-like tone and a terrific FAQ section. Don’t miss the list.

A recommendation to the site, would be to rank the same leaders by more criteria: tallest, bravest, oldest, hairiest, friendliest, etc — it’d be great to have comparative data on the world leaders.  Which brings up the useful secondary function of the site – it gives people a one-stop resource to see all the world leaders.

I know this isn’t part of the game, but Fuzzco’s “favorite-looking” world leader has got to be Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand.

Adulyadej

Anyways, their blog has recently been picked up by Time Magazine and by Fuzzco.

While I’m talking about my friend Derek, you should go see his ongoing music project Computerization.
